The Huns- a group of 8 crazy girls who grew into 8 wonderful women. I have no idea of  where that name came from but it has stuck. We have been friends for over 35 years (gulp).  Some of us lost touch with each other for many years but with the creation of Facebook we all found each other once again.  We get together at least once a year, enjoying each other’s company now as much as we did back in the late 70’s.  The funny thing is that we are all pretty much the same as we were back then. We know each other’s quirks and we accept all of them lovingly.   We are all mothers.  Some of us still live in PA and some not.  Some are married and some not.  We all have careers.   We have all changed physically but not inside.  The same thing that brought us together all those years ago is the same thing that still brings us together today.  And next weekend the Huns will reunite once again.  I can’t wait.ImageImage

About PainterPaige

I am an abstract painter living in the Washington, DC suburbs. I have always loved to create. I won my first art award in 3rd grade for my “Friends with Animals” poster. The prize was $3 and my poster was hung at city hall for a month. It was a huge deal back in elementary school. I started my first business, Paige’s Painted Floorcloths, in 2006 where I hand-painted canvas floorcloths and sold them on my website, and at local art shows. My site is still up and custom floorcloths are still available although I gave up selling at shows a couple of years ago. This past year, I picked up a paintbrush and fell in love with painting all over again. This time I decided to stick to abstract painting on canvas. I am loving every minute of it!
